Listowel International Storytelling Festival celebrates Ireland’s oral tradition and stories from throughout the world…
Storytelling is as old as humanity itself. In fact, it’s the oldest form of entertainment, well before the written word and well before radio or television. It dates to the times of tribes gathering around the fire to listen to heroic tales and legends. Ireland is famed throughout the world for the art of storytelling. The 4th annual Listowel International Storytelling Festival takes place from September 15th to 18th with a packed programme of events for all ages including workshops, concerts, story swaps, story walks, storytelling in schools, and much more! Held in various venues throughout the Historic & Literary town of Listowel. We look forward to welcoming you to the home of where stories begin.
